Welcome to a screening of the Ukrainian film Mavka: The True Myth, inspired by Ukrainian myths and legends.

Mavka is one of the nymphs of a forest lake — creatures surrounded by mystery and dangerous allure. When she meets Lukian, a biology expert, she has only one mission: lure him to her lake, where sirens and other nymphs await, ready to capture human souls. But instead of leading Lukian to his doom, Mavka falls in love with him. As her feelings grow stronger, she begins to realize that the sirens will do anything to keep her on the dark side.

Мавка. СПРАВЖНІЙ МІФ

Мавка — одна з німф лісового озера, створінь із аурою таємничості та небезпечної чарівності. Коли вона зустрічає Лукіана, фахівця з біології, у неї є лише одне завдання: заманити його до свого озера, де сирени та інші німфи чекають, готові викрасти людські душі. Але замість того, щоб приректи Лукіана на загибель, Мавка закохується в нього. І чим сильнішими стають її почуття, тим ясніше вона розуміє: сирени зроблять усе, аби втримати її на темному боці.
