Malmö Queer Film Festival bjuder in till visning av Dreamers i regi av Joy Gahroro-Akpojotor.
Efter att ha levt i Storbritannien utan uppehållstillstånd i två år grips den nigerianska migranten Isio och skickas till Hatchworth Removal Centre. Hon tror att hennes asylansökan kommer att behandlas rättvist om hon följer reglerna. Hennes cellkamrat Farah varnar henne att det inte är så, och verkligheten visar sig vara hårdare än väntat. Isio vänjer sig vid livet på utvisningscentret och förälskar sig i Farah. Hon blir även vän med Nana och Atefeh. När Isios asylansökan avslås föreslår Farah att de flyr tillsammans för att ge sin kärlek en chans. Isio vägrar först. När yttre krafter hotar att splittra gruppen fattar de ett radikalt beslut.
English: After living without papers in the UK for two years, Nigerian migrant Isio is caught and sent to Hatchworth Removal Centre. She believes that her plea for asylum will be given a fair hearing if she follows the rules. Her cellmate Farah warns her otherwise and reality is harsher than expected. As Isio adjusts to life in the Removal Centre, she finds herself falling for Farah, as well as becoming close to her new friends Nana and Atefeh. When Isio’s asylum application is rejected, Farah suggests they escape together to give their love a chance. Isio initially refuses. When outside forces threaten to tear the group apart, they take a radical decision.
