Filmögon släpper efter nästan fyra års uppehåll i Malmö ett nytt och sista dubbelnummer. Tillsammans med numret presenteras en filmvisning av Kira Muratovas Korotkiye vstrechi (Brief Encounters) från 1967. Släppet introduceras med en uppläsning av Emily Wardills text Difficult People om Muratovas filmer.

Dubbelnumret kommer att finnas tillgängligt för försäljning under hela kvällen, till ett specialpris.

I Korotkiye vstrechi (Brief Encounters) blir en kvinna och hennes hembiträde omedvetet båda förälskade i samma man, spelad av sångaren och skådespelaren Vladimir Vysotsky. Muratova spelar själv en av huvudrollerna i sin långfilmsdebut och fick sin officiella premiär år 1987 under glasnost efter att ha varit förbjuden av sovjetiska censurer i 20 år.

"In her earlier film: Brief Encounters, where Muratova plays the main part, there are many discussions between her and her lover that manage to catch that magnetic force between them, whilst the language itself is scuttling and unhelpful. That feeling of the early throws of connection crept into the set, but it is impossible to work out where it is exactly. Is it in the space between them? Welcome to the Panora cinema, Monday the 9th of May, where Filmögon after almost a four year hiatus in Malmö presents a new and final double issue. Along with the issue, a screening of Kira Muratova's Korotkiye vstrechi (Brief Encounters) from 1967 will be screened. The release will be introduced with a reading of Emily Wardill's text Difficult People on Muratova's films. The issue will be available the whole evening for a special price.

In Korotkiye vstrechi (Brief Encounters), a woman and her maid both unconsciously fall in love with the same man, played by singer and actor Vladimir Vysotsky. Muratova herself plays one of the main parts in her feature film debut that had its official premiere in 1987 under glasnost after being banned by Soviet censors for 20 years.
