Purpose – a Wellbeing Economies Film + panel discussion including the director
Datum: Tor 8 maj

The new documentary feature film Purpose – a Wellbeing Economies Film asks the central question of our time: What is the purpose of our economies, and how can we change it?

The film follows two individuals – Katherine Trebeck and Lorenzo Fioramonti – who develop ground-breaking political projects in order to shift our economic systems – away from endless GDP growth, towards what really matters for people and planet. They envision a world in which we no longer serve the economy, but the economy serves us.

PANEL DISCUSSION
The film will be followed by a panel discussion where we dive deeper into the process of economics systems change on a practical level. The panel consists of:

Martin Oetting (producer & director of Purpose) left his job in advertising – where he worked for years as a ‘growth advocate’ – and decided to make this film after Trump got elected the first time.

Anna Branten – entrepreneur, consultant and writer – is the founder of Institute of Transition and WEAVE. She explores business philosophy and advises companies on the transition to regenerative and human-centric business models and future economies.

Carys Egan-Wyer, senior lecturer at Lund University’s School of Economics and Management with a PhD in marketing.

Moderator: Cecilia Paulsson, film director of the film Outgrow the system, and co-initiator of the WEAll Sweden hub.
