A fragment of the Syrian saga. We are in Syria in 2015 in a village that is besieged by IS and where people are suffering from terrible conditions and balancing on the edge of death.

The film's protagonist, Father - Ibrahim Abdullah, is fighting a brave battle to save his family and get away from the siege and horrors, along with other city dwellers. However, he not only occupies his father's role with his family, but feels it to his entire people in the village as well as nationally and culturally. This gives the film an extraordinary and long-lasting perspective as it becomes an illustration of the history of Syria for the outside world and also of the country's future generations. The film is at once reflective and fierce, making it very convincing and gripping.
