This is the story of Andriy Kuzmenko, the frontman of the iconic Ukrainian band Skryabin—a man loved by millions, yet truly known by only a few. Through exclusive, previously unseen archival materials, the film reveals his personal evolution, sharp sense of humor, self-irony, and a life lived at full speed—one whose energy continues to inspire audiences today.

Directed by Artem Hryhorian, the documentary follows Kuzma's journey from a young boy in Novoyavorivsk to one of the defining figures of Ukrainian popular culture. It is a story about freedom, pain, and compassion—values reflected in everything he said and created. At the same time, the film explores Kuzma as a lasting cultural icon whose influence remains strong years after his passing.

“This is definitely not a conventional documentary where everyone simply talks about the main character. Of course, there are interviews, but our goal was to let the audience spend time with Kuzma himself—to see him as he truly was. We all knew him as a national hero, yet very few knew the story of how he became one. Kuzma can no longer speak to us directly, but through these archives, he still can. The audience doesn't just hear about the past—they experience the journey of his life as it unfolds on screen,” says the film's producer, Maksym Serdiuk.
